Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress most well-known for her roles in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her career in show business in the early years of her life. When she reached the age of 16, Alexandra had landed leading roles in several shows on television. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall the role she played as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also critically acclaimed. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this beautiful diva. Alexandra's career has seen her be involved in a variety of notable international and national projects. Some of these include the British biographical film Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and the French historical miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she is an official jury member for two festivals: and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
